German Trip - Day 6 (Nuremberg)

We had a final breakfast with Rick & Anja in the morning and said our goodbyes, then continued on towards Nuremberg. I booked a hotel in the city centre while Laura drove us there, and after a bit of faff with getting into the car park we were checked into the hotel and off to explore the city!

We briefly explored the markets, and wandered the streets of the city for a while. We also went to a board game shop and bought a couple of board games in German. We're hoping we can use these to practice our German with, but maybe we'll just get the rules wrong and end up playing completely different games to what was intended!

We ate our tea at a tavern called Trödelstuben, and perhaps ordered a little too much! The food was good, although not as good as the food at the Altfraenkische Weinstube unfortunately. The decor was nice however and we enjoyed ourselves.

We ended our evening in the city by getting some Glühwein in the street, and, as with most activities Laura wanted a picture. While taking the picture I noticed someone trying to photobomb us! Laura called them out and they laughed and looked awkward, but explained they were hoping to give us a 'surprise present' with it. The wine was delicious and everyone seemed friendly.

After we finished the wine we retired to our hotel room and tried to watch a corny crime/detective series in German. We could generally follow along but it wasn't very good so we watched some more Voyager on the laptop instead.
